Call for Workshop Proposals

We invite proposals for workshops to be co-located with ACM SIGMETRICS 2027, which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from June 7–11, 2027, as part of the ACM Federated Computing Research Conference (FCRC).

ACM SIGMETRICS is the premier forum for the computer performance evaluation community, focusing on the design, modeling, measurement, and performance analysis of computer systems broadly defined, including networking, cloud computing, AI systems and cyber-physical systems. Workshops provide a vibrant, interactive environment for researchers, students, and practitioners to discuss emerging topics, exchange early-stage ideas, and build community around specialized or multidisciplinary areas.

We welcome proposals on both established themes and emerging frontiers relevant to the SIGMETRICS community, including but not limited to:

  • Machine learning, generative, agentic AI and Physical AI system performance
  • Cloud, edge, and high-performance computing
  • Quantum computing, networking, and communication
  • Cyber-physical systems, IoT and AI RAN (radio access networks)
  • Network economics, mathematical modeling, and game theory
  • Diverse metrics such as reliability, security, cost, fairness, energy, and carbon footprint

We are particularly interested in “industry-themed” workshop proposals that report “work-in-progress” experience and bring together industry and academia.

Submission Guidelines

Proposals should be submitted as a single PDF document (maximum 2 pages) and should include:

  1. Workshop Title and Acronym
  2. Abstract and Justification: The theme, scope, and why the workshop is relevant/timely for the SIGMETRICS community.
  3. Format and Duration: Planned structure (e.g., invited talks, peer-reviewed papers, panels) and duration (priority for half-day proposals).
  4. Organizer Information: Names, affiliations, contact information, and brief bios of the organizers.
  5. Target Audience: Expected number of submissions and attendees.
  6. History: Details of past iterations of the workshop (if applicable).

Important Dates

  • Workshop Proposal Deadline: November 15, 2026 (23:59 AoE)
  • Notification of Acceptance: December 15, 2026
  • Workshop Date: June 7, 2027 (co-located with SIGMETRICS/FCRC)
