Student Travel Grant Program
ACM Sigmetrics 2025 is pleased to offer student travel grants to subsidize travel costs for attending the conference. The number and amount of the awards will depend on the number of applications received and the available funds. The grant money will be awarded in the form of a reimbursement after the conference up to a fixed amount, which will be determined based on the student's application. Preference will be given to students who are attending to present a paper at the conference or workshop, or are presenting a poster (CfP for posters is
here).
Eligibility
- Only students may apply to the Registration Grant Program, where "students" here refers to undergraduate or graduate levels, but not postdocs.
- Only students who have a paper (conference or workshop), have an SRC entry (even if they didn't make it), or have a poster submission (even if not accepted finally). Others will be considered only if we have any funding remaining.
How to Apply
-
For Non-US students (not a US citizen and studying at a non-US university):
Please fill out the application form here. These grants are generously sponsored by ACM and our industry sponsors. Please keep all receipts.
-
For students at US Universities or for students who are US citizens:
Please fill out the application form here. We are awaiting funds from NSF, so travel grant funding will be delayed and is not guaranteed, but please fill out the form nonetheless. This grant is intended to help cover eligible travel expenses, including conference registration, airfare, and lodging. Please review the UCOP Travel Regulation (BFB-G-28) for full policy details. Note that, in accordance with the Fly America Act, all air travel must be booked on U.S. carriers when available. Please keep all receipts.
The deadline for submitting the application form is May 2, 2025. We expect to communicate decisions to applicants tentatively a week after that; we may be delayed for category (b) applicants above if the NSF funding is not confirmed in time. The instructions for reimbursement will be conveyed to the awardees once selected.
If you have any questions about the application process, please email the Student Travel Awards Chair, Dr. Shaolei Ren (shaolei@ucr.edu).
