Resources at Detroit Metropolitan Airport:

The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is approximately 45 minutes west of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). There are several ways to get to campus and your conference accommodations:

Self-driving directions:

Michigan Union: 530 S. State Street Ann Arbor, MI 48103

From Detroit (heading West)

Take I-96 West; keep left to continue on to M-14W/US 23N; slight left to take M-14W; continue on M-14W/US 23 BUS S; take exit 3 for US 23 BUS S toward Downtown Ann Arbor.

Continue on US 23 BUS/N Main St. Turn left onto Depot St. Turn right onto N. Main St, Michigan Union will be on your right.

From Chicago (heading East)

Take I-90E to exit 21 to merge onto I-94 E toward Detroit. Take exit 172 toward Jackson Rd. Take the ramp to Stadium Blvd, Continue on 1-94BL, turn right onto State St. Michigan Union will be on your right.

I-75/US-23

From Ohio (heading North)

Keep left to stay on US-23 North. Take exit 35 to merge onto I-94W towards Chicago. Take exit 177 to State Street; use the right lane to turn onto State St; continue on State St. for roughly two miles. Michigan Union will be on your left.

From Northern MI (heading South)

Take I-75 South to US-23 South. Keep right to stay on US-23 South. Take exit 45 to merge onto M-14W/US 23 BUS S toward Ann Arbor. Take exit 3 toward downtown Ann Arbor.

Continue on US 23 BUS/N Main St. Turn left onto Depot St. Turn right onto N. Main St, Michigan Union will be on your right.

U-M Campus Parking

Parking Rates

In general, you can expect to pay $2.20/hr for metered parking and $1.80/hr for up to three hours parking in a structure ($2.00 +3 hours). Our suggested public parking structure is located at 324 Maynard Street.

Free Parking

On Central Campus and around downtown Ann Arbor, free parking is available during these times:

Hours: Monday-Saturday after 6:00pm
Hours: Sunday all day
