Performance Evaluation Review

Performance Evaluation Review (PER) is the quarterly publication of ACM SIGMETRICS. PER is sent to all SIGMETRICS members and is available through the ACM digital library.

PER publishes special issues that are guest edited by a leading researcher in the field. Special issue topics are determined by the guest editors and editor in chief. In addition, as space permits, regular papers unrelated to the special issue are also published. PER publishes regular contributions including tutorials, position papers, or early work. Unsolicited papers are reviewed by at least two referees.

PER is edited by: Evgenia Smirni

How to submit a paper

The focus of PER is on providing special issues that are guest edited by leading researchers, but additional papers not related to the special issue will be considered for publication. Thus, the majority of papers in PER appear by invitation only. However, submitted papers will also be considered.

Submitted papers are treated as journal papers and are reviewed by two or more referees. Papers are not copyrighted, and hence can be submitted later to a conference or journal. Papers are expected to be of high quality. Technical papers, tutorials of general interest to the performance community, and opinion papers will be considered.

The preferred submission method is to email a Postscript or PDF copy of the paper to esmirni@cs.wm.edu. Accepted papers should be prepared using the PER style files.

Papers may also be submitted by hardcopy. Send four copies to:
